The Pullman Preserve was a conservation community vision proposal in 2016 and
2017 that sought to protect approximately 50% of the 27 acre parcel know as the “Pullman Yard” as a 10 acre forest, upper stream buffer and urban farm.

This conservation planning was achieved by offsetting the proposed built
development into a clustered mixed use village along Rogers street.
The intent of the mixed use village and Pullman Barns adaptive re-use was to
optimize their connections and programming with the preserved green space – the urban agriculture and forest preserve. This vision  represented one of the last opportunities to preserve this iconic, in-town, historic complex with the
valuable top of watershed greenspace.

This video provides a summary fly over of the proposed 2017 vision for the
development and the preserved urban agricultural and forest lands.
